Since I am a big fan of Oreo cookies, I wanted to try and make them at home.As we all know that homemade is always better, considering the fact that you know what you put and what you eat, I was right they taste the same, crunchy cocoa cookies, although they tend to soften the next day but still taste amazing.

With just a few simple ingredients, you`ll be surprised how easy it is to make them, you can play with the shapes and make them in any shape you like, after all, you are the boss here 🙂 as you can see I chose heart and traditional oreo shape for this time.Now let me tell you how easy is to make these attractive bites.

Ingredients
- 75 grams room temperature butter
- 50 grams powdered sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 100 grams flour
- 25 grams cocoa powder

- 200 grams powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- In a bowl beat together the butter, powdered sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until combined.
- In another bowl sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Now pour the flour mixture into the butter and start mixing with your hands.When you form a disk wrap it nicely with plastic wrap and let it sit in the fridge for at least one hour.
- When the dough is firm, roll it onto a floured surface to desired thickness.Cut the cookies and place on parchment paper sheet and bake for 12 minutes at 180 °C or 350 °F.
- Let the cookies to cool completely and make the frosting. Beat the butter and vanilla, and slowly incorporate the powdered sugar. Now pipe some frosting onto one cookie and sandwich it with another cookie.Repeat with the rest of the cookies.Serve them with a glass of milk of course.Enjoy!
